THE 5 MINUTE DAILY
You copied someone else's routine and wondered why it didn't work.
The 5 AM wake-up that works for the guy with no kids and a flexible job.
The meal prep Sunday that assumes you have 3 hours free and love cooking.
The meditation practice designed for someone who doesn't have a 45-minute commute and back-to-back meetings.
You tried to force their system into your reality, and when it didn't work, you decided you were the problem.
Plot twist: The system was the problem.
THE PERFECT ROUTINE TRAP
Social media is full of people selling you their exact routine like it's a universal truth.
"Here's my morning routine that changed my life!" "Follow my exact workout plan!" "This is the only way to be productive!"
Bullshit.
A perfect system for someone else is a trap for you.
Their routine works because it fits their life, their schedule, their personality, their circumstances. Not yours.
You're trying to squeeze yourself into someone else's blueprint and wondering why you feel like a fraud.
Stop trying to be them. Start being you.
TODAY'S CUSTOMIZATION
Set a timer for 5 minutes. Think of one habit you've tried to force that never stuck.
Maybe it's:
Working out at 6 AM when you're not a morning person
Following a diet that requires ingredients you can't afford
Using a productivity system that takes longer to maintain than your actual work
Now rewrite it YOUR way.
Don't ask "What would they do?" Ask "What would work for ME?"
If you're not a morning person, work out at lunch or after work. If meal prep overwhelms you, prep just snacks or just proteins. If their system is too complex, strip it down to what actually serves you.
Write down your version. The one that fits your real life, not your ideal life.
THE HARD TRUTH
You don't need a better routine. You need a truer one.
The habit that sticks is the one that feels like you, not like someone you're trying to become.
Most people think they lack discipline when they can't maintain someone else's routine. They don't lack discipline. They lack alignment.
Your life is not their life. Your routine shouldn't be either.
Stop apologizing for needing systems that fit who you actually are, not who Instagram tells you to be.
